The Asparagus AGRO-Therm is a transparent, thermic, Polyethylene Film,
developed by Achaika Plastics SA, especially for the Cultivation of Asparagus
in Europe.
The film is 3-Layer Co-extruded and is manufactured by updated production lines, with On Line Quality Control , thus ensuring uniformly excellent quality, during the manufacturing process.
The Asparagus AGRO-Therm film has at its sides,specially formed pockets for the insert of soil, so that the film firmly covers the field.The insert of soil in the pockets is easily carried by the reinforced discontinuous seals at the points where the pockets are.
The film can easily be removed to facilitate the collection of the crop, to control the weeds, and to prepare the field.The special additives contained in the film, maintain also at night the heat absorbed during the day,thus avoiding temperature variations during the night,protecting the crop from weather conditions and maintain night temperatures 2-5 deg. higher compared to fields covered by a simple transparent film. By this way an essential increase of the asparagus earliness is achieved.The film is ideal as a first period film.
The use of Asparagus AGRO-Therm Film reduces the collection time of the product, reducing simultaneously the collection labor cost.
The film is installed on the field mostly in winter months when the product is in narcose. Partial regulation of the cultivation can be accomplished by removing the film at night or even at day.
In early spring the film is removed and replaced by the THERMIC ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET.The goal of this replacement is the improve-ment of the crop's quality and consequently the increase of the farmer's income.

2. B/W ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET
The B/W ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET is a non transparent Polyethylene
Film, with one black and one white surface,developed by Achaika Plastics
SA, especially for the Cultivation of Asparagus in Europe. The film is
used as a second period one,after the cultivation is been fully activated
by the use of the thermic film B/W ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET.
The film is 3-Layer Co-extruded and is manufactured by updated production lines, with On Line Quality Control , thus ensuring uniformly excellent quality,during the manufacturing process. The form of the film (pockets,slits etc.) is identical to that of the B/W ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET.
The intransparency of the film ensures excellent asparagus quality, while providing a satisfactory soil humidity and an excellent weed elimination.
It can be used with the black surface upwards or downwards.
With the black surface upwards, we ensure weed elimination and satisfactory humidity, while the elevated soil temperature due to solar radiation absorption, activates the cultivation and increases the collection rate of the asparagus.
Having upwards the white film side,we ensure weed elimination and satisfactory soil humidity, while the temperature decrease,due to solar radiation reflection, reduces the activation of the cultivation and reduces the collection rate of the asparagus. The upwards white side is mostly used during very warm days, to avoid the product burns and to maintain the excellent quality, or when we desire to decrease the collection rate of the crop.
The B/W ASPARAGUS FILM, X-POCKET is a multi season agricultural film, collected at the end of every cultivativation period and carefully stored to be used at next period.

The AGRO-FILM ASPARAGUS BLACK, is a non transparent Polyethylene film,
black, developed by Achaika Plastics SA, especially for the Cultivation
of Asparagus in Europe. The film is used as a second period one, after
the cultivation is been fully activated by the use of the thermic film
AGRO-THERM ASPARAGUS..
The film is 3-Layer Co-extruded and is manufactured by updated production lines, with On Line Quality Control ,thus ensuring uniformly excellent quality, during the manufacturing process.
The form of the film (pockets,slits etc.) is identical to that of the AGRO-THERM ASPARAGUS The intransparency of the film ensures excellent asparagus quality, while providing a satisfactory soil humidity and an excellent weed elimination.
The black body of the film ensures the weed elimination and a satisfactory soil humidity and additionally a great rise in soil temperature, thus activating the cultivation and increasing the collection rate of the crop.
The film must be removed at very warm days or when we desire a drop of the collection rate of the Asparagus.
The AGRO-FILM ASPARAGUS BLACK is a multi season agricultural film, collected at the end of every cultivativation period and carefully stored to be used at next period.
