We have the solution to the problem of pollution caused by plastic waste!

A new technology utilises microbial breakdown of the polymer chains which is activated in the presence of light, oxygen and heat and finally converts the plastic into water, carbon dioxide and biomass.

Initially, the long chains of the plastic molecule break into smaller pieces which are saturated and become food for microorganisms. This procedure continues until the material is finally converted into carbon dioxide, water and biomass.

A bag that has been manufactured using this technology has a lifespan of up to 4 years as opposed to a conventional plastic bag which remains in the environment for at least 150 years until it is fully broken down.
